Have I ever told you that all my Indian wear is designed and made by me? Having said that, I would also like you to know that I obsess over saris and lehengas. While my co-blogger sister Anisha yells at me about writing posts and updating ourselves on social media, I while away the time staring at beautiful lehengas on pinterest (Anisha I’m just joking) or not.
Anisha wearing a blue lehenga with gold choli and a red dupatta designed by me. Her gold choli has Zardozi embroidery while her lehenga is in Kali’s with three layers of border.
I love Indian embroidery, gota being my most favourite. Now I know everyone has their own taste in clothing but I never do understand these fusion lehengas and gowns. I love the traditional big A-line cuts and always avoid the diamante filled ones which I feel just make you look like a chandelier. Eek!
A traditional bridal lehenga with a full flare will and should consist of eighteen kali’s. Gets a bit heavy but look so beautiful! With our fabric market having such beautiful things I always get greedy when I go to buy for my shoots.
Let me take you through some of my favourite designers and beautiful summer lehengas by each. Once you see them its quite clear that I love pastels and soft colours. Also prefer gold and rose gold to any silver work.
Magnificent white lehenga choli with fine gold embellishments. You can also shop this dress from Audressy

I love the red and blue lehenga you are wearing – looks stunning! I also like the Anushree Reddy one. All the nice ones are so expensive in the UK.

Thank you! Yeah – the stuff you get here is usually never as nice and always way more expensive! Definitely buy in India as far as possible.
