Winter is here and I can finally wear all black and neutral outfits all day every day and not look like a black cloud. This particular outfit is a pretty basic staple of mine, a black tshirt and faux leather pants, with a jacket or shrug over it for some warmth. And sometimes color. An easy comfy winter outfit. I’m not sure if this would qualify as a trench coat as its not really water proof but it definitely looks and feels like one so we’re going to call it that. Bonus points because the jacket or coat or whatever you want to call it is coffee colored. No I didn’t make that up, it even says so on the website. Looks more blush pink in pictures but in real life it is indeed somewhat of a coffee color. I am very pleased with it as you can tell.
Trench coats have been discussed at length on the blog already. While they don’t make much sense in the intense London weather, they are quite perfect for the mild Bangalore winters. I love the long flowy ones that have a tie and can be wrapped around. Feels like a hug 🙂 Speaking of Bangalore weather, the rain has been driving everyone crazy this week, not because its wet and annoying, which it is but because its causing insane traffic every where! It literally added an extra hour to my already long commute to work two days in a row this week. I am so glad its finally Friday.
Its been a crazy month so far, I’ve been busy working and making sure that everything is done before our holiday. We’ll be going to Goa the last week of December and I couldn’t be more excited about it. Also I have been baking up a storm. Ever since I made myself a birthday cake it seems like any occasion is a good reason to bake an elaborate cake or atleast attempt to bake one. This time I made a cake for our wedding anniversary. It was bright red and actually turned out pretty great, even though I say so myself 😀 Also made rum cake balls! Ya I know, the holidays get me very excited for baked goods. I have to stop myself or pretty soon me and everyone else in the family will not be able to fit into any of our clothes. The recipes will be coming soon on the blog!
