Have you heard of the Mayfield lavender fields? I heard about this a year or so ago but just missed the flowering season so I made sure to go this year. I mean – look at this place!
These lavender fields are extremely painful to actually get to. So allot some good amount of time if you are using public transport.
Outfit details: white lace dress from Mango (I couldn’t find the exact same dress since its sold out but thought this one was gorgeous), boots from Zara, envelope bag from Bershka, straw hat from a stall near Shaftesbury Avenue and lipstick is Too Faced Melted Fig. Can you believe I last wore this bag on the blog in one of the first few posts! Unbelievable.
We ended up reaching this place after travelling for atleast 2 hours. In London. (Of course, we took take the wrong route for us so don’t get too discouraged).
And it was all worth it.
DJ and I had such a great time. We took pictures – we just couldn’t stop taking pictures. Its quite a surreal sight! But once we got tired taking pictures we just keep walking around between the lavender bushes. The sight is gorgeous and the smell is beautiful. Its difficult to describe scent but its light, fresh but still intense at the same time. But not sweet.
(Also the only reason they have a red London telephone booth in the middle is for Instagram or pictures – so I obliged. 🙂
I really wish we could have spent the whole day there and had a picnic or something. Sadly, they don’t allow picnics on their fields but this would have a gorgeous picnic location.
I am off to India today and I cannot wait! Two weeks of yummy food and being back is exactly what I need! Make sure you follow us on Instagram because there are going to be some amazing pictures coming! if you have any tips and suggestions for Rajasthan please let me know in the comments below. And have a great weekend! This Friday could not have come sooner!
Thanks to DJ for the photos.
