Let me let you guys in on a little secret. Rannvijay and I have this ongoing battle of picture clicking. He poses for the whole world but me. So thank you Subham Agarwal for doing a brilliant job and sending me these pictures.
I love Roadies but I have to tell you styling for Splitsvilla is so much fun! This is Splitsvilla9 and it has just started airing on Mtv at 7pm every Saturday. The looks this year are divided into three styles, casual linen shirts with linen pants for the talk session called patate raho, t-shirt with bomber jackets and denims for the tasks and a formal look of metal button down jackets with un-tucked shirt, cropped pants with loafers for the elimination which takes place at night. It’s summer and I am thrilled that I can do pastels!
This is Rannvijays entry shot and he’s wearing pink! The outfit has soft colours, its loose and comfortable. This year we decided to try the cropped pants look and I think it looks great on him. Just the right summer vibe don’t you think?
Sadly not all his looks are thin and light. Since its television I refuse to let him go on screen in just a t-shirt. Grumbling and mumbling we come to a conclusion on his task looks which are layered with bomber jackets.
The jackets are lightweight unlike our Roadies bulky ones. Mostly cottons and even linen bombers. We were shooting in Puducherry and the days were extremely hot. Caps were not only necessary but looked pretty cool too.
Jeans, t-shirt and linen jacket is from Zara, while his cap and shoes are Air Jordan’s (similar). The cool gold watch is Gshock.
On a very sunny day when I was missing from set he took the opportunity to shoot in just a printed tee! I didn’t let him get the satisfaction of knowing he looked pretty great in this too.
Printed shirt, white basic t-shirt and pants from Zara, shoes are Rannvijays own and cap is from Vans. His favourite white Gshock watch completed his look. His sunglasses are from Jack and Jones and you have seen them on him during Roadies.
We have done a lot of linens this year in bright colours. These chinese collar shirts from US Polo looked great on him and were perfect for the hot weather in Puducherry along with the Zara linen pants.
The theme to this years Splitsvilla was Royalty. His elimination looks were a bit different from all his other years. Metal button chinese collar jackets with shirts and crop pants with slip on loafers. This look went perfectly with his beard.
Each jacket had a different design and colour. All designed by me for Rannvijay. His shirt is Jack and Jones and pants are from Zara.
This picture was taken when Rannvijay found my blog name to be quite a tongue twister and got it right after quite a few tries.
Though the beach was beautiful, the temperature was soaring. The shoot would take place in the afternoon under the sun. Knitted tracks with tshirt was the best way to go. His cap adds just the right amount of brightness.
Jacket designed by me, shirt from Jack and Jones, pant from Zara. The red loafers are from Rannvijay’s personal cupboard.
