I loved how polished and feminine this turned out.
This isn’t one of my favourite shirt dresses. Far from it. Its a dress I bought from Primark some years back and have barely ever worn. It was the wrong size, then I got it stitched up to fit and by then I had already lost interest.
Outfit details: Cream lace chiffon dress from Primark, heels from H&M, round rimmed sunglasses from Stradivarius, gold envelope clutch by Sejal Katkoria and pendant from a store in Bangkok (if you want details, I can tell you exactly where this store is although I don’t know the name),
But I remember seeing someone (probably on Instagram or Pinterest) wearing something cream and lace – really sorry about this vague memory. I don’t even think it was a dress but probably a jumper she were wearing. Unfortunately, I don’t have the photograph which inspired me or rather reminded me of this dress.
I was going for dinner at a friends place and the weather was great – it just felt like a cream and lace chiffon kind of dress day!
Interesting takeaway: as you know, shirt dresses are super popular right now and this dress fits right with that theme although I did buy this quite some years back. That’s the cycle of fashion for you!
I kept thinking shirt dresses need a belt and so did this one. But when I did try it on with a black belt it was just weird. It just didn’t seem to go with the vibe of the dress. The itsy bitsy shoes worked well though! And that pendant of course, was made for this outfit! That bangle is from good old Forever 21.
