We want you to enjoy our blog but also be aware of any advertising that takes place on it.
Advertising
You will have noticed there are some advertisements on our blog. We have tied up with Google to show you advertisements on the blog. The intention to tie up with Google was to show you useful, relevant advertisements. At the same time, we do not want our readers to be distracted and annoyed and confused by the advertisements so we have decided to keep this to the minimum and continue to present out blog in clean, easy to read format – the kind we as readers of other blogs enjoy and what we hope our readers would enjoy as well.
Affiliate Links
The Privacy policy page explains what are Affiliate Links. We insert Affiliate Links on our site but only those which are relevant for the product. We will never knowingly insert an Affiliate Link which is not relevant or which links to a product which is more expensive than on other websites. If you find this has happened, please let us know immediately.
Sponsored Posts
All sponsored posts on our blog are clearly mentioned as such at the bottom of the post. Sponsored posts are those for which we have been remunerated in some way, whether payment or goods. If a post does not mention this, we can assure you it is not sponsored. However, we would like to clarify that even in the case of sponsored posts, we would only collaborate with relevant brands and products.
Content
We write our own content. Everything you read in the blog (except the guest posts which are clearly marked as such) are original content written by either one of us or three of us together. We welcome guest posts on our blog but do not carry press releases and similar marketing content which is not written by us. In short, we have full editorial control of our posts and these are original, new content. If you see similar content on another site, please let us know immediately. This means someone has illegally used our content.
Featured Products and Items
We love everything we write about and feature a number of products on our posts. We will not feature a product we would not ourselves use, or otherwise recommend or have been recommended by friends. Unfortunately, as you will see from most of our Shopping posts, we do end up purchasing a number of the items we recommend! Once again, as mentioned under the Sponsored Post heading, we will only feature products we like even if the post is sponsored.
PR Samples
If we have been provided with a PR sample, you can bet we will be stating this clearly at the bottom of the relevant post.
Photographs and Images
Most photographs you will see on our blog are our own. For our Shopping posts we use photographs from the relevant brands’ website to which links are provided next to the photograph itself. (See our Featured Products and Items heading above for more information on how we choose the brands we do). Most brands are happy for us to use their photographs since we clearly state these photographs do not belong to us but the relevant brand in question and acknowledge their copyright as well as provide a link to their product which increases their visibility as well. We assume we can use these images since they are easily downloadable from the websites. If you are a brand and have seen your photograph on our website and would not like us to use it, please contact us. We will remove this immediately.
Copyright and Usage
All content on our site is copyright to us. This maybe a photograph, some writing or idea. Please do not use any content from our site without our permission. This is illegal and may also lead to legal proceedings. We are more than happy and are honoured if you want to use our content on your website, blog or otherwise. All we ask is that you let us know before you do so and credit us with the content you have reproduced with a link back to our blog.
