Remember that time when everyone on Instagram went nuts and started putting posts telling people to turn their notifications on? This was when Instagram went from chronological order to algorithm based a.k.a. whatever-makes-Facebook-more-money based. Everyone went crazy – people put up on posts, threatened and begged their followers and others to turn notifications on. And no one did.
And of course, I didn’t either. But there are a few Instagram posts that are worth turning notifications on for. These are definitely some of the best Instagram accounts out there!
1. Diet Prada
Seriously, best Instagram account ever. So this one basically pulls up and shows all the copying that fashion brands around us do. Its a little sad because no one seems to have a real thought or idea or originality these days but it is definitely eye opening. Must follow if you are interested in fashion or work in fashion.
Not content with just the current market share of the ugly white sneaker, Demna & Co. revisit a certain former footwear phenomenon in the latest @vetements_official offering—the Adidas Stan Smith. Rechristened as THE fashion sneaker by Phoebe Philo back on March 6th, 2011, it was further taken to new heights by the one and only @rafsimons . Will y’all be sticking with the ugly white sneakers or are you ready to jump ship again? Or are you an equal opportunity white sneaker lover? #vetements #stansmiths #adidas #uglysneakers #whitesneakers #2015 #whiteshoes #trend #pf18 #sneakerhead #sneakers #dadsneakers #celine #phoebephilo #rafsimons #rafsimonsadidas #pharell #americandad #hypebeast #highsnobiety #snobshots #balenciaga #demnagvasalia #dietprada #streetwear #streetstyle #ootd #wiwt
The painstaking detail, the originality and the creativity especially when its made out of such basic everyday objects is amazing. This Instagram account calms me down and makes me smile – I can almost picture myself putting the clips or whatever together to form those lovely patterns. It must be so fulfilling!
Her fun, playful, colourful pictures are the best thing to see and make you happy this holiday season. They are so amazing and well shot – amazing!
I have no idea where the pictures are obtained from and I am not exactly sure about the legality of sharing these pictures but I am enjoying them nonetheless. I guess if was a copyright violation it would have been taken down already or these pictures are so old they are already in the public domain. My favorites are not the particularly historical ones but the ones that show ordinary life of extraordinary people or people in their everyday life.

The idea for this post basically came from the fact that since I realise I spend way too much time on Instagram I might as well put all that Instagramming to some good use. So of course, check out our Instagram. We have also done lists for our favourite blogs and favourite Facebook pages – have you seen those?
How is everyone’s holiday party planning going? Even after trying to make sure I am free and not over packed with general socialising my calendar is getting full. I might complain about it but I love it too! Tell me what your New Year plans are and most importantly what you plan to wear for it?
