Walking Around London In Winter – OOTD

24 November 2017 · 9 Comments

If you follow us on Instagram (if you don’t, well you totally should!) you might already know that I’m on a holiday right now, we’re making our way through London and parts of Europe. I’m writing this now from a tiny cosy bed & breakfast in Amsterdam, but more on that in a later post. This one is going to be about the London leg of my trip.

When we were planning this trip, it felt like November would be a great time to see London. Our reasoning was that we would avoid summer as it would be too touristy, and December – Jan would be freezing so November seemed like the perfect middle ground. I absolutely stand by that, London was beautiful! It was everything we thought it would be and more.

It was always going to be fun, no matter what the weather was like because I was going to meet Anisha! She had warned us it would be really cold so we went prepared with lots of warm clothes and tons of layers to bundle up in. Which kept us warm and toasty for most days, leaving us free to explore in city in peace. The first couple of days were still quite cold but after that we got a little used to it and were able to wear only maybe 3 layers instead of the 5 we did the first day 😀

This was our Day 3 in London, where we went on a Walking Tour of the city. Even though it started raining and got dark at about 4pm we still had a fun time walking around London listening to our tour guide telling us fun stories about all the sights. I would definitely recommend taking the tour if its your first time in the city. It was free, and you just pay whatever you feel like it was worth at the end of to the tour guide.

Also I realized if you style your hair, like I normally do – I usually curl it, don’t bother. Its just a waste of time because it will rain and your hair will be as is within 10 mins of being styled. So forget it and enjoy your holiday.

It was raining and quite chilly so pretty much all the pictures are a little dark and with my good old coat on but thats an authentic London OOTD for you. I did take of my coat for about 10 seconds to take a few shots of my dress but I literally froze so back on my coat went. I wouldn’t recommend doing that 😀

I have so many things I want to write about this trip, from all the research I did on packing light to all the outfit planning for each city. I had so much fun planning for this trip that by the time we actually left for it, the trip itself felt like a bonus 😀

Look out for more of these quick outfit posts coming up. I have one more from London, and then hopefully more from Amsterdam, Paris and finally Barcelona.

Follow us on Instagram for regular updates on what we’re upto, I’m pretty much always putting stuff on stories from wherever we are. Anisha and I are planning to do an Instagram live from London in a week or so talking about all the shopping I did/am going to do on this trip so look out for that. Should be fun. Till next time!

I love the dress and I was wondering why you chose to go in Nov instead of the spring time. I guess I got my answer.

I do like their designs but I will be honest Sneha – I would not not recommend buying from there. The pictures they show are not theirs but taken from all over and its not a photo of the actual item they are sending you but the items they have copied from. of course for the prices you know its quite bad quality as well. Its also quite difficult to return or exchange. Sorry!
