10 Fun Ways to Wear Boyfriend Jeans

1 October 2014 · 4 Comments

Boyfriend jeans are everywhere this year, and with good reason! They are comfortable, can look polished and also provides relief on those days when you just don’t want to get into those skinny jeans. While they look can very ‘shabby chic’ when done well, they can also make you look ..well just shabby when they are not. So here are some fun, foolproof ways to wear your boyfriend jeans. Let me know which one is your favorite 🙂

  1. Add some sparkle

Do you have a glittery top that you feel like you can only wear out at night? Well it complements your boyfriend jeans perfectly! Bust it out and pair it with those ripped denims.  Together, they make one fabulous outfit! It can even be a sequin clutch, sweater, or statement shoes, but hopefully not all together as displayed below.

  1. Add a pop of color

This does wonders for any outfit, and can take your relaxed jeans to a whole new level. Neon shoes, bags, even jewelry can be used to pull this off.  It’s very easy to do and you can even mix and match, and play around with multiple colors. I really like the bright red bag and shoe combo going on here.

  1. Add some interesting shoes

This one is the easiest to do. Everyone has a pair of killer heels that they save for special occasions. Well its time to put them to use. Even though at times I feel like it kind of defeats the purpose of a comfortable outfit when you add six inch heels to it, but when you see the end result I guarantee you will decide its worth it!

  1. Add a blazer

This one is a celebrity favorite. It instantly makes you look very well put together. There is just something about ripped jeans and a blazer that go really well together. I can even get away with wearing it to work once in a while.  Pair them with flats or heels, add a nice bag and its good to go. I wear this on days I want to put my hair up in a messy bun. Just adding that blazer makes me feel like I’m putting in a lot more effort into my outfit than I actually am.

  1. Add some plaid, and do two trends at once.

Two trends, one outfit. Perfect for fall, and very low maintenance. You can’t go wrong with this combination. If like me, you collect plaid in every color possible, then this is the outfit for you. Laid back, relaxed and on trend, this one is a must!

  1. Wear a relaxed oversize shirt.

You would think adding a slouchy shirt with baggy jeans would make you look like you dressed with a blindfold on, but it totally doesn’t! It looks relaxed, and very chic. Add some oversize glasses and you’re ready to roll. A white shirt is perfect, but you can even do baggy t-shirts or jumpers. Add boots and a scarf, or even a chunky statement necklace to complete.

  1. Wear it with a hat.

Everything is better with a hat. It looks bohemian and protects you from the sun. What more could you ask for from an accessory? 🙂 You can experiment with different colors as well. I love the big floppy ones in fall colors! Pair it with some boots and a tank and you have the perfect laid-back outfit!

  1. Wear them with converse.

I love this one. Its looks very sporty and super fun! And perfect if you want to stay away from heels or boots for a change. Which I do, all the time. You can also do fun quirky colors!

  1. Do denim and leather.

Honestly this is my favorite way to wear jeans. Any jeans.  Denim + white tee + leather jacket = Perfection! Frankly, any excuse I get to wear my faux leather jacket, I’m all over it. So this is definitely one of my easy go to looks. Add some interesting accessories like some neck pieces or bags, and it looks even better!

10. Fold them way up.

This is something to try when you are looking to do some different with your denims. Fold them a little higher up than you normally do, and wear some eye catching footwear, and you’re good to go!
