I don’t really wear makeup. On a daily basis I just apply sunscreen and my day serum and leave the house. When I do go out for something special, that’s when I do a bit of what according to me is makeup and go.

My latest obsession ? It’s this new rage called the illuminators. I can’t stop obsessing! A cream that makes my cheeks glow! What?!
Now there are highlighters yes but then there are illuminators that make your whole face look dewy and glowy.
So here is the thing. I have been trying quite a few but I feel I still haven’t found my perfect one. I’ll put down a list of the ones I have and one that I want to try.
- Nars illuminator – Orgasm

This is the one added to my collection most recently. I won’t call it amazing but it is one of the better ones. You need just a small pearl size drop and it spreads great. Now I do everything with my fingers and what I do find about this product that lot of it stays back in my hands. If you have a combination skin then it will be perfect for you. I put this product just over my moisturizer and leave it for the day for a natural look but for night I apply my foundation on top.
- Stila – One step illuminate.

This one is a mix of moisturising cream as well as an illuminator and a primer. It suits my skin but if yours is dry then maybe not for you. Unless you wear your moisturizer first and then this on top. I loved it till the day Akshay called me a disco ball. It has glitter and quite a bit of it. I still wear it but I wouldn’t call it the best.
- Farsali – Rose gold elixir

I had heard so much about this elixir that I adamantly made Anisha buy it for me and bring it from London. Yes it smells really nice but it’s an oil and in humid cities it really doesn’t do the job. This is a daily moisturizer and I prefer using it at night before going to bed more than as a glowy primer. It has 24 K pure gold flakes. It can be used to hydrate lips, can be mixed with your foundation and even revive old dried cream products.
- Tarte cheek stain – Glisten
I to be honest was on the look out for Natural beauty but found Glisten in Bangkok Sephora and bought it. Now this one I love. It is very easy to apply and gives the right amount of glow and shine. Feels and looks really natural and can be used day or night. If you have super oily skin then again this may not be for you.
There are still few that I do want to try. The one on top of the list being Ciate London Dewy stick.
