Winter Whites: Oversized Sweaters and Ripped Jeans

If I could repeat one winter outfit endlessly it would be this one. A chunky sweater, ripped skinny jeans, and my favorite new white shoes. I even accessorized with a statement necklace! I’m so proud of myself. My love for oversized sweaters and hoodies is eternal and I have collected numerous in various shapes and sizes over the years. I think I even have a poncho stowed away somewhere. Not to mention every sweatshirt and hoodie I’ve ever had, ya even the ones from college that I wore so much that there are holes in them. Multiple.

With oversized knits and sweaters,  you dont have to worry about growing out of them or them ever going out of style. They are also the perfect solution to those days that you feel like nothing in your closet will ever fit you again. Literally the most comfortable things ever and I especially love pairing them with skinny jeans, short skirts or leggings for the contrast and to balance out the proportions.

This white oversize sweater is the softest one I own and I absolutely love it. I found it at a Zara sale a couple of years ago, and I literally wait for it to get cold enough every year just so I can wear it. I was a little concerned initially that it might make me look like a marshmallow, but I convinced myself that that can only ever be a good thing, so now I wear it without fear. Well never completely without fear as it is white, and I’ve been known to drop and spill almost everything as soon as it is handed to me. So I am always extra careful when I wear it.

I’m obsessed with these white sneakers currently, and I’ve been wearing them all the time. I’ve seen them on everyone everywhere for awhile, but I never realized how versatile white shoes are till I broke down and got a pair. On this particular day I was going shopping, so the comfortable shoes and a large tote bag were a given. A statement necklace and shades, and my casual winter day outfit was done! Quite pleased with how it turned out.
