The Lucky Story of ‘my’ Chanel Brooch

15 February 2021 · 2 Comments

I am a little annoyed at myself for being so lazy with the blog for the past few weeks. Its took me so long to get the Beauty Pie post done, I almost felt like I need a week to recover from writing out that very detailed and long post. Please forgive me for being lazy but I also realise how much it throws me off when I don’t have my blog post for the week planned. It makes me so stressed when I am not writing so definitely want to make sure I am organised. I miss writing too much the weeks I don’t end up posting.

So anyway, this is going to be a short one. I was out for my run a few weeks ago. (Yes, lockdown has made me a winter runner, something I never thought I would be). Believe it or not, I found this brooch lying on the road. Yup. Can you believe that? Hence the quotes for the ‘my’ within the title of the post.

Honestly, I have always loved the idea of owning and wearing a Chanel brooch. I love some of the vintage ones and the ones with the chain and ribbon through it. However, in all honesty this isn’t the one thats my style but it is quite pretty.

Now I realise that picking off something from the road isn’t exactly smart in Covid times (or otherwise honestly) but it was a reflex action and I picked it up even before I though of it. So thats done now. Honestly, can’t say I regret it.

So now its the awkward part where I am not really sure what to do about the situation. I am definitely tempted to keep it! But absolutely please let me know if you have lost your Chanel brooch in London – get it touch if you have!

Hope you enjoyed this fun note. If you think this is your Chanel brooch that I am wearing please get in touch with me! You can comment below, send me an email or get in touch on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and the rest. I promise I will be hand this back and will be back with a post next week!

It’s cute whether it’s yours or not. I want to get one maybe I’ll be luck and get one while thrifting or a vintage estate sale. Can you tell if it’s real or not? You are wearing it well and I love the backdrop

Thank you! I do feel a little guilty so need to figure out if I can get it back to the owner. I did post pictures in a Chanel Facebook group where they mentioned it does look like its real. The problem is for jewellery and these items its actually quite difficult to confirm.
