My Shopping Bag: Shopping the Holiday Sales

March 28, 2015 · 4 Comments

I ended up doing some shopping during the holidays (sadly, quite some time back now). Indulged by buying some practical and basic items and some very fun items as well at the holiday sales.

The Jeans, the Jacket and the Jumper

This covers the practical buys. Almost everything I am wearing in this outfit is new – except the bag and the shoes which I am afraid I have worn all too often.

Item 1: Jeans

I tried out jeans from every high street brand I could think of – Zara, Mango, Levis, Lee, Forever 21, H&M, Primark (remember these other jeans which fit me really well?) and these Stradivarius ones fit the best! In hindsight I think I should have picked up two pairs but I am definitely going back there for my next pair. Of course, the length is too long for me but otherwise the fit is great!

Item 2: The Jacket

My husband made me buy this Uniqlo super light, super cosy, super everything jacket. This is the jacket that makes you believe in the science (and feathers) of clothing. Although I usually wear a jumper under this jacket since I even feel a little cold indoors, for the outdoors you don’t actually need anything except this jacket. (And do not make the mistake of going running in this. Its disgusting – will make you sweat like a pig.)

Also, ended up with two basic layering tops from the Uniqlo Heatech range. I have heard so many good things about it.

Item 3: The Jumper

There isn’t really much to say about a grey jumper except it that it was from Gap, on discount and is made of lambs wool. Cosy!

The Fun Stuff

Item 4: John Lennon Glasses

Went to return something in Stradivarius and came back with this. Love them!

Item 5: Denim Dungarees

I already have a pair of black dungarees and wasn’t sure why I decided to get this. I had no hopes of it fitting me and was really excited when it fit me perfectly. (Note: the ones in the link are not the exact ones I got but similar.)

Item 6: Topshop Skirt

Why did I get an outlandish silver pleated midi skirt? This picture. Can you blame me?

Enough said. Now I can’t wait for leather jacket weather!

The second picture in this post is from Pinterest. The exact source could not be found. If anyone has the required details please let us know and we will update accordingly.
