Its no secret that we are huge fans of Cupcakes & Cashmere. One of my personal favorites is her series Five Things which if you are not familiar with you should totally check it out. Its basically a series where we share images of five things that has caught our fancy, or make us happy. Could be anything – from an Instagram worthy cup of coffee to a new dress we are lusting after, or something totally mundane that gives us great joy.
We thought it would be a fun thing for us to try out, and a great way to share some snippets of our everyday lives. So without further ado I present to you our first post of the series!
For this first one I went about taking pictures of things I enjoyed and somehow the cats ended up in most of them 🙂 Kind of fitting I guess, because they have somehow integrated themselves in every aspect of our lives with such great ease, much to our astonishment! Me and my husband were not cat people at all. We rescued them when they were a week old, almost on a whim with the intention of keeping them safe till the mother cat returned. Well she didn’t unfortunately, but by then we fell in love with them and that was that. Everyone says cats are mean and they never really show emotion like dogs towards their owners, but I really don’t get why. These two are nothing like that. They really are the cutest, and the most perfect pets in the most adorable way possible. Can you tell I’m obsessed? Haha! The grey one is Dobby and the ginger is Sylvester. Though she’s female we named her before we found out, and by then the name kinda stuck so we went with it!
Hope you enjoy the pictures, and do let us know how you feel about this series. Love it? Hate it? Let us know in the comments!

The only plant we have managed to keep indoors(and alive) without the cats deciding its a new toy. I love the colors on this one. Kudos to the plant, self defense game on point!

Waking up to the heavenly smell of freshly brewed coffee thanks to the husband, and enjoying a cup in bed.

Peaceful weekend mornings without the much hated alarm, and the way these two manage to sneak up on the bed whenever we wake up late. Its like if we break our routine and have a lazy morning, they decide the bed is fair game and it must be no-rules day!
