What kind of life does a person wearing white jeans have? Isn’t the whole point of wearing jeans is that they are casual and comfortable and you can ‘rough it’ while wearing jeans? (Although honestly, I have no idea what roughing it means in the context of city living – the extent of roughing it is making sure you push past the crowd to get on the tube. Make sure you get the last slice of cake in the office cafe. Skip that puddle on your way to work. There isn’t really a lot of hiking and climbing involved that white jeans wearing is prohibited.)

Basically the point I am trying to make is I was not the white jeans kind of girl. I had an idea of the white jean girls – they always wore skinny jeans and were extremely tall. In my head that was a requirement for wearing white jeans so it was never an option for me. I was not 0.000007% of the women who wore white jeans or 0.0001% of those who actually looked good in them.

Then I realised the world has just discovered jeans other than skinny jeans exist – the boyfriend jeans, the mom jeans and so on so the white skinny jeans was only in my head. I saw these white mom jeans in the Pretty Little Thing website and knew that ultimately, I was a white jeans girl, even if not a white skinny jeans girl. When I got them I discovered they fit perfectly, exactly the way I wanted them to fit.

Outfit details: black jumper and white jeans from Pretty Little Thing, Chelsea boots from Zara (similar), bag is Chanel Boy (similar), necklace from Heathergems (similar), lipstick is Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick with Colorbar Lip Liner.

I also realised something else about wearing white jeans – you can wear your cosiest knit with it and walk out of the house and its dressy. Its dressy in a way a cosy knit and blue jeans can never be. Basically, white jeans are the ballgowns of jeans.

And after that profound thought, let me tell you about my super relaxed week. I was supposed to go to Ireland but because of the hurricane there our trip was cancelled. Hope everything is back to normal for people up there. We spent our Diwali week in London and it was so relaxed and fun. My vote goes for a staycation!

Hopefully we have yacked about our saris enough that you have actually heard about our new collection and taken a look? If you haven’t – please check them out right now!
