We’re back again with a new attempt at Take 3. To refresh your memory, Take 3 is where the three of us pick a theme of sorts and style 3 different outfits around it.
Now picking a theme that we all agree on is not an easy task. Why you ask? Please take a moment to read Anisha’s take on my fashion resolutions for this year here. I have since revised said resolutions, needless to say.
Now that you have a better idea of how much of a negotiation process this theme selection normally involves, let me tell you what we finally settled on. We all agreed we should pick a color this time, and we decided to go green. Well military or dark green to be exact.
As far as colors go I think this one is doing very well for itself right now. If I weren’t in a committed life long relationship with black, I would definitely say this is my new favorite color. When we realized all of us had somehow picked white to pair it with, we decided to just go with it. We wanted to keep the outfits casual and wearable, and something everyone could recreate.
It was also one of those very rare occasions that all three of us were in the same place at the same time. With Anisha living in London, Bidisha in Mumbai and me in Bangalore, that happens almost never. After months of planning we finally all made it to Mumbai for an extended weekend. It was a super fun and surprisingly productive weekend. Three days of eating, drinking and some more eating, and then an impromptu photo-shoot on the beach!
Outfit details: Drawstring pants and bag from Forever21, white shirt from Mango, necklace and strappy shoes from Mango, sunglasses from Rayban, lipstick is No 426 by Ingot.
Outfit details: White top from Banana Republic, pants from Superdry, heels from H&M, bag borrowed from Forum, necklace from Forever21 and lipstick is Sienna, Boots No. 7.
Outfit details: Jumpsuit, necklace and throw from Forever21, white bag from Poland, shoes from Aldo, sunglasses from Roadies, lipstick is Mehr by MAC.
These pictures were taken at a beach in Mumbai, and honestly took us all by surprise at how decent they turned out, considering how hungover we all were. Kudos to Forum, our photographer for the day! Also lesson learned – heels and a sandy beach do not make a good match.
This was our first attempt at a photo-shoot for the blog with all three of us together, and we had a blast! Hopefully we’ve convinced you to give this color a try if you haven’t already. It’s honestly an universally flattering color and looks great on everyone. If you do try it out don’t forget to let us know what your favorite way of wearing army green is!

I don’t know why, but this makes all the styles you’re wearing more attractive. OH maybe that’s what they should do in clothes magazines and catalogs. Features several models, all with different styles, in different poses. Think that would be the new fashion trend? 😉
