3 Chic Stores of Paris to Visit

7 June 2022 · 2 Comments

So it appears the one benefit of Brexit is the fact that as non-EU residents we can get a VAT refund on our shopping. Include the fact that everything is already cheaper in France and so on, I got onboard with shopping in France. There are probably a hundred or so chic boutique stores in Paris but these are the ones I managed to visit which cover clothing, interiors and chocolate – so there is something for everyone. But needless to say the chicest store is right here and if this is your first time in Paris, take a look at this post too.

The Socialite Family

  1. Comptoir 18-20 at 18-20 rue des Archives

This is one THE chic stores of Paris. In all honesty, I felt it was too cool for me but I definitely see the appeal. Compare it to our Dover Street Market. Mostly clothing but also lots of accessories, home items like fun candles, design items. Part store and part design museum if you will.

2. The Socialite Family at 12 Rue Saint-Fiacre

I found this store with zero effort on my own. I was in line to get into Octobre and saw this woman carrying a bag from the store. The name intrigued me so I had to check it out.

This is the chic interior store with colourful cushions, fancy tableware and the trendy cane furniture. The photo above is of this store. I have discovered their website and realise you can shop online.

3. A La Mere De Famille at 35, Rue du Faubourg Montmartre

We walked down our hotel and saw this super vintage shop front so I had to go in. I am not even a major candy person but going into a chocolate and candy store never gets old.
