By now our readers know us and know a lot about our lives. But my husband, DJ is of course a big part of my life and most readers don’t know a lot about him. Or about Madhan, Satarupa’s husband or about Akshay, Bidisha’s boyfriend. We thought it was high time we introduced them. So here is a little bit about them and what they think about the blog!
Bidisha’s boyfriend – Akshay
The best thing – Akshay boasts about my blog to anyone and everyone he introduces me to. It’s adorable and makes me feel so proud! Being a writer himself (he is a writer/director by profession and you can see his short film here), he always lets me know if I have made a grammar mistake and leaves a heart on the posts he likes.
Quite a few times he has sat down with me to help me with my writing. The funniest being when I was writing my Gillette shaving post and he was sitting and working by my side and giving me ideas!
Unfortunately, we are yet to reach the stage where he is my photographer (Instagram boyfriend in other words) but that is just a matter of time and of buying a camera. Poor Akshay he has no idea what he has gotten into!
Satarupa’s husband – Madhan (Maddy)
When we first started the blog I don’t think any of us realised how much work would be involved. I borrowed my dad’s DSLR camera for the pictures (which I still haven’t returned :D) and Maddy would take all my photos. I’m literally the worst model, when we first started I hated posing or having my picture taken in public. I would only take pictures in front of a white wall in our apartment. Maddy would insist on going outside and taking the shots in natural light and made sure I got used to it eventually. So much so that I can now actually work with other photographers and have gotten quite comfortable with it.

I remember when I told DJ I wanted to start a fashion blog, he was really supportive. That also may have been because I bored him so much about shopping and clothes and fashion articles and news, an outlet for this interest seemed like a good idea. Although yes, he was annoyed since he wanted to start a cricket blog (which he did and you can can check it out) but I kind of stole his idea and made it a fashion blog instead!
