Skater Dress and Blog Issues: An #OOTD In Mexico

17 July 2017 · 6 Comments

We stayed in this beautiful AirBNB in Cancun and once I walked in I knew I have to shoot an outfit post here. Zaful sent me this super cute skater dress and of course, I couldn’t wear it in London so took it along to Cancun. So glad I did!

I am also slightly emotional about these shoes since they have been completely written off. I wore these out to dinner one night – we ate at a fantastic place in Cancun and they totally fell apart! Sometimes I really think I need to listen to my own advice about shopping at Zara.

Outfit details: Dress from Zaful, wedge shoes from Zara and bag from Dune London, House of Fraser (also worn in this post and this one).

So there was something else I wanted to talk about. I have so many pictures (including these which have been waiting for almost 6 month now) waiting to be published on the blog. But I have an annoying problem. I don’t know what to write. Actually, I know what to write, I have lots of ideas. Throughout the day I think of a million posts I want to write but when I actually sit down to write something, there is nothing in my brain.

I told DJ about this recently and he casually remarked that something like this is to be expected. ‘You have been writing almost every day for the last three or so years – of course you are bound to need a break or get tired of it.’

Now one thing I realised is I actually don’t ever ‘sit and write’. I don’t have a lot of time to do that. I do wish I had writing as the only agenda when I wake up in the morning but that is a luxury I don’t have. In fact that is a luxury that comes with its own stress. And now in case you haven’t figured it out this is a blog post about not writing. 🙂

If you have any advice for me – please send me some comments! I would really appreciate it. Please make sure you have signed up for our emails – this a super easy way to keep track of our posts, just put your email ids below. Come say hi on our Twitter – its great for chatting! Till next time!

The dress was provided to Fashion and Frappes as a PR sample.

Thanks to DJ for the photos.

I think you are just stressing. I mean I get it. I have loads of pictures clicked and I have all these ideas in my head about how I want to present it, but it never works out that way. So its okay to just write in an engaging manner like how you are doing already..

Thank you so much Krupa. This was actually very encouraging! Glad to know the post is engaging! I think you need an objective person to tell you like it is sometimes!

I know that feeling all too well . Sometimes you just have to take a step back and get your ducks in a row and start up again. And sorry your shoes fell apart That sucks!

Thank you Stephanie. That sounds like a good solid plan. Let me reasses!

On the shoes, all I can say is that I was upset but not surprised!

That’s a damn pretty skater dress Anisha! You look lovely! With the pictures, you can easily brainstorm yourself and come out with ideas. Look for theme in the outfit you are wearing!
