It has been raining a lot here in Mumbai. I love the rain and the cooler weather but what I don’t like is the muck and the dampness. Instead of dressing up I try and dress down, wear my oldest pair of shoes and carry a cheap bag which I won’t miss if completely spoilt, apply some sunscreen and leave home. Since my parents have come down from Kolkata I decided to dress a bit better today. Just a bit.

I do love this top though! Suddenly my wardrobe seems to be over flowing with whites. I went to shop during the sales but to be honest I liked everything in the new collection.

My photographer for the day was my mom who I also dragged to the fabric stores to help me with our new collection of saris for Zari. Since it was pouring outside we took a few pictures inside the store.

I do love the embroidery trend I see on so many things now. Also I have now started wearing a watch, the last time I wore one on a regular basis was in the eighth grade. This one is a gift from Akshay for my birthday. Its a simple white dial with gold and I love it.

Outfit detail – top and bag from Zara, jeans from Vero Moda (similar), shoe from Forever21 (similar), watch is Esprit.
There is quite a bit going on in my life right now. To begin with I have been wearing my eye glasses for the past ten days and I truly have the worst and most unfashionable pair. I go in for my lasik surgery in a day and I am so excited!

Bag from Zara, lip color is expressive peach from Color Bar, lip gloss is Victoria’s Secret.
During the monsoon my skin gets really sticky. I use very little cosmetics and try and keep it simple. Sunscreen must be applied everyday and I have found my perfect one.

Product details : Triple performing moisturiser for day, bigger than BB cream, Pore-fessional and Benetint from Benefit, my small box of hairpins, sun screen from Body Shop, lip gloss from Clinique, cheek highlighter from Nars, a light day cream from Vichy, and my new lipsticks from Mac – Dark Side and Vegas Volt.
