A black leather dress isn’t exactly exactly the natural outfit choice for brunch. But this happens every year! Just when spring is around the corner I remember all the awesome winter clothes I forgot to wear. Or atleast haven’t worn yet. (And thats also how you end up wearing a black turtleneck in April but that’s another story).
Anyway I decided to challenge my styling abilities by styling items for occassions and events that might not really, well, click. So lets give it a try.

I dreamed of this white shirt. I knew exactly the kind of white shirt I wanted – it had to be cotton with stretch, not silk. Half sleeves turned up. Fitted enough to wear under dresses. When I told Duygu I really wanted a shirt like this she was not very convinced I would actually find it – super glad I did!

Layering the white shirt underneath along with white sneakers makes its a pretty easy brunch look to pull off.

Outfit details: Green parka from Primark (similar), black leather dress (unknown brand, very old), white shirt from Zara, white sneakers from Stradivarius, blue glasses from Rayban (similar), Boy Chanel bag and lipstick is MAC Modesty.

And now about the dress. Believe it or not, its atleast 20 years old. I don’t know why I have held onto it but I did. I actually dragged it all the way from Calcutta to London when I moved and I have been wearing it off and on. I am definitely going to hold onto it for a little longer.

It was a really sunny, somewhat hot day in London. Lovely!
