I have to admit I do take a little more effort getting dressed when I know I am having outfit pictures taken. So I decided to go to the other extreme this time – wear sweats and take outfit pictures. But the point I wanted to make is just because they are sweatpants it doesn’t mean they are scruffy and ragged (really hope I have made that point). Comfy fashionable clothes is not an oxymoron anymore.
It might not show up in the pictures but these sweatpants have a little bit of glitter on them which is so fun. And just a little bit on a higher level of dressyness (I am aware dressyness might not be recognised as a word but my sweatpants and my blog post so there) that the general grey sweatpants. We were just going to Borough Market to get some grocery shopping done so sweats seemed like the appropriate attire. But of course, London being London, I made sure to offset my very dull non-colourful outfit on a dull day with the most colourful lipstick.
I started thinking about sweatpants when DJ remarked saying how he is amazed by the number of people who think its acceptable to wear sweatpants outside the house / gym. To me this is a perfect legitimate choice of clothing and depending on how you dress it up it can pass off as anything. So sweatpants for dinner is going to be my next try although DJ may not appreciate it!
