My Shopping Bag: Floral Trousers and Printed Tees

To make up for my last few shopping bag posts which were mostly black and some white, this one involves blue, florals and printed tees. I won’t promise its a rainbow but I am getting there. (I also cheated and did not include some of the black items in the photograph).

Item 1: Floral Trousers

I picked these up at the Zara sale and they were perfect for summer! I also plan to wear them in the winter during the daytime as much as possible – with a white jumper for a white-on-white look. From the fashion point of view, large floral prints are not really recommended for someone petite like me but I thought I could make them work. I wanted a pair of printed trousers but nothing too wild so this fit the bill.

Item 2: Boxy Quilt, Textured Top

I ended up picking this up while I was I was on a hunt for a simple white tee. This is super simple to wear but still a little more interesting than a simple white tee. I was actually quite surprised to see this top has not yet made an appearance on the blog – this is going to be remedied very soon. Highly recommended for when you don’t want to wear a fancy top nor is your outfit otherwise interesting enough to let you throw on a simple tee.

Item 3: Two Tees from Primark

The two tees I picked up from Primark were quite different – one a plain greyish black and one is a girly white one with a rose print on the front. I have been wearing the white one quite a bit. I like the greyish black one since I can wear it with black but still not look like I am wearing black head to toe.

Item 4: Black Suede Kitten Heel Pumps

These were bought from Primark after hunting around for a pair of black heels I could wear almost everyday. Strangely, the only pairs of black shoes I owned are sandals with studs. Yes – two pairs of black sandals with studs. Which I have to admit is strange.

A friend of mine has also been frantically looking for black everyday office heels – so not too high, almost kitten heels. This gave me the idea to do a round up of wearable black heels which shockingly is not an easy find. Most are either too expensive, too high, too uncomfortable, too OTT – and I might be too fussy. 🙂

I also wore these heels for my graduation!

Item 5: Thin black jeans from Primark

I am honestly not sure why I picked up another pair of black jeans but these fit extremely well! I guess thats your reason right there. But to differentiate this pair from my other pair of black jeans and the 4 pairs of black leggings I own (ok, actually 3), I decided to be crafty. Literally. You can easily guess that I decided to do a little ‘DIY distressed jeans’. Since these were cheap jeans from Primark there was no harm done even if I botched this up but I think I managed to do quite a good job.

I wore the quilted top with the black jeans (before DIY) – the top does make a very simple outfit look more interesting. Although of course, the bag doesn’t hurt either. 🙂

However, now when I see these photos, I will be adding a pendant or a collar – seems a little too plain, even for me.
