Another year, another Sunday Soul Sante. If you’ve forgotten, its a flea market event that takes place a couple of times a year in sunny Bangalore. I did a post all about it here last year. It attracts tons of local artisans and designers, and this year wasn’t an exception. I absolutely love events like these. It brings out the hippy flower-child side of everyone, if there is even such a thing. Everyone is in flower headbands, flowy skirts and theres a riot of colour and there is a lot of neon everywhere you look. Its slightly chaotic, but its so much fun that you don’t really care. Everyone was in such inspired outfits fashion wise that it was absolute heaven for a people watcher like me. In a strictly non-stalkerish way I promise. Maybe next year I’ll be brave enough to ask and take a few photos of others as well 🙂 I realized it would be the perfect time to wear my neon maxi skirt that I rarely get to wear. It also had the added benefit of helping me stand out in the crowd in case I got lost, which totally happened last year. I got separated from my group of friends and misplaced my phone at the same time! Was scared witless for about 10 minutes. Also finally felt brave enough to give the whole crop top trend a try. No time like a hot summer day to wear a crop top. Paired with some gold slippers and a fringe cross body bag and my outfit was complete. Here are some pictures of the fun day. Hope you enjoy!
As is the norm, you can’t help but buy a ton of cool kitschy things at these events. I was slightly better this year, I managed to limit my shopping to some great house plants and some amazing hand painted pots for them. Last years shopping bag was way more fun though to be honest. Hope you enjoyed the pictures, sorry I wasn’t able to get better shots of my outfit. It got way too hot and crowded to take proper pictures really soon. If you were there this time let me know what you bought! ps: Its Bidisha’s birthday today! Show her some love on her latest post 🙂
