Palate Fest 2015 – Delhi Food Fest!

3 December 2015 · 8 Comments

I love food. There is no subtle way to say this. When I go home to my mother in Kolkata or I go to my best friend in Delhi, I gain a few happy pounds and come back. Not to offend my present city but Kolkata and Delhi food is to die for.

I was lucky enough to be in Delhi when the Palate fest 2015 took place. Its a three day food and music festival and if you are in Delhi or from Delhi this is something that should not be missed. All great restaurants, cafes, bakery and stalls come togeather in Nehru Park in Chanakyapuri. The entrance is free but yes the food is not.

Evenings tend to get very crowded so we went in the early afternoon. The band Mrigya was performing and I absolutely loved them. We drank wine and beer, ate great food and made a lovely day out of it.

I have to confess that I also ordered for Hongkong style noodle with chilli and lime chicken but ate it up before I managed to take a picture. Yes, I was a little hungry.

My sister loves to attend such events and so does my co blogger Satarupa.I read their posts on the Bermondsey street festival and Soul Sante and loved everything about it. Last year I was in Delhi around the same time but sadly missed out on the fest, hope to make it in the coming years. If you love food, music in great weather then a visit is a must.
