Summer Wardrobe Challenge: Vintage and New

14 August 2014 · Leave a Comment

If you follow us on Facebook, you probably already know that we are participating in WhoWhatWear’s Summer Wardrobe Challenge! It’s a fun way to try things you probably wouldn’t think of wearing otherwise.

But here’s the best part – You can join us too! Just tag your pictures with #WWWSummer30 and #FashionandFrappes anywhere you like: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr or Pinterest, and we’ll share them on our blog!

Here is a run down of my outfit for Day 1.

Day 1 – Mix a vintage piece with something new.

Flannel shirt, Zara jeans, Mango nude pumps

This one was a true challenge for me, as I had to come up with something that I could actually wear to work. The new part was easy – my brand new Zara jeans that I’ve been dying to wear. Which incidentally, I got when I went to Zara to look for Anisha’s flats. I couldn’t find the flats, but I came back happy with these awesome pair of jeans!

For the vintage item I decided on my favorite flannel shirt. It originally belonged to my much older cousin. Though why he had a purple flannel shirt I have no idea. I ‘borrowed’ it years ago and had it altered to fit me. I have also conveniently ‘forgotten’ to return it to him since.

I completed the outfit with my favorite nude pumps from Mango and a blingy wristwatch. So that’s my first outfit for the challenge. 29 more to go!

Let me know what you guys think, we love to hear from you! And don’t forget to tag us with #FashionandFrappes if you are doing the challenge too!
