I had been really snobbish about this. There is no way I was wearing denim on denim. It looks ridiculous, right? Wrong.
The easiest way to do it is include another colour in the mix and a print – this is quite a fool proof way to go about the Canadian tuxedo.
Denim shirt from Gap, blue jeans and white blazer from Stradivarius, animal pattern shoes from Zara, white bag from Forever New and blue shades from Rayban.
Chunky gold chain necklace from ASOS (similiar).
Have you tried this yet? If you want to start out small, take baby steps. I would suggest starting out, go with denim in another colour. White denim is super on trend for summer and would be perfect with a blue denim shirt. Or try red or dark green (black would be a bit of a cop out honestly!). See how that goes and after that maybe you could dive into the hardcore denim on denim trend – blue on blue denim!
I did the same thing – first tried it out with my red jeans. And as always – pretend you have been wearing this your whole life and thats it!
And a reminder: I hope you have entered our giveaway? If you haven’t, please do!

I’ve also been hesitant to try denim on denim (although I do wear my chambray shirt with white jeans – I guess that counts), but this look is so chic that I’ll totally go for it now!
By the way, I just found your blog and I love it! Definitely following 🙂
