A Last Ditch Push for Summer Clothing

27 October 2025 · Leave a Comment

This happens to me every October and every March. In October, I frantically realise I have barely managed to wear my summer clothing since weather has not been particularly summary. (I am Indian so summery weather for me is 24 degree and more, 20 degrees is not summer no matter how desperate you are).

So in October I start looking for ways to wear some of the summer clothing I have and honestly, it very fun. I do love the mix and match of a very summery item with more autumn fashion. (In March, its the opposite. I end up wearing my boots with everything just to get a few more wears off them before I need to put them away).

A longer summer skirt is usually a good idea since you wear boots and that works with the cold. I also added in my leather jacket since that perfect autumn wear and I love the idea of mixed textures – thin cotton skirt and leather jacket is a perfect mix in my opinion. I also love the chunky boots with this since again, its a perfect set off for the very feminine skirt.

I really wish I had taken more pictures of the outfit and generally. This was a restaurant we went to in east London called Showburn which was in a factory. The food and service was fantastic and I cannot recommend it enough. I am kicking myself for nothing taking more pictures of the food.

Have a good Monday and rest of the week everyone.
