I have wanted these Acne boots since, well…forever. Springing almost £400 bucks on a pair of boots may not be the most sensible of all shopping decisions so I will probably be investing into one of the highstreet copied inspired versions! But seriously arn’t they the most beautiful, chic pair of boots ever?
There are similar ones with a shorter heel which I also love but I definitely prefer this one. Its the perfect heel. You can actually walk quite a bit in them. So I did not think the high street versions were very good, to be honest. Even in the pictures you can see the vast different in quality. This is of course to be expected. What I am concerned about is if getting the high street version will actually satiate the Acne Loma obsession? Somehow I doubt it.
- Mango Leather Cowboy Ankle Boots, £35.99: I am not a fan of cowboy boots really and the only part I did like about these is the signature metal capped tip. These are on a major sale now so go for it if you took a liking.
- Acne Studios Loma Leather Ankle Boots, £390: I don’t think I have anything left to say about these boots. Except that if they ever came on sale I would scoop them up in a heartbeat!
- Boohoo Western Metal Cap Boots, £35: These and the Mango ones are currently the same price so you can pick up either. Its obvious these Boohoo ones are a closer version of the original Acne ones but a warning – you should of course, not expect the same quality and wearability.
So what do you guys think about buying these high street copies? Do you think it really satisfies the craving (for lack of a better word!) for the original? I did a similar post for the Mansur Gavriel mules as well as the Hermes Constance bag and the Chloe Drew. I know some of you asked me to check for the Dior Lady. I have to admit its been harder than most. I am still on the lookout for good highstreet copies although basic fakes for these are easy to come by. However, I never recommend these.

I know – they are so perfect slick!
Nice selection! I also laud you for your bit about not recommending “basic fakes”. There are just those items you need to splurge on. Footwear is one of those since it goes a long way. No need to sacrifice comfort!

Thank you Yvette – I hate fakes! Rather buy a pair from your high street than buy fake designer goods! Have a look at the other posts in these series if you like bags!
I would LOVE acne boots but might need to settle for Boohoo!
Great post! 🙂
Haha! Unfortunately same here!
Deep black, supple lamb’s leather boots resonate rock’n’roll spirit, to set the tone for the season ahead with graphic minimalism and androgynous appeal.
Totally!!
