Getting Ready for Summer: White Lace Kurta #OOTD

6 May 2016 · 3 Comments

It was a bright sunny day and I was thinking about summer. I decided to wear a very summary top – a white lace kurta. Unfortunately, it got much colder than I expected (and hoped for) so I had to put a jumper on it. And then a puffer jacket. Its London after all.

Now I can’t wait to wear this kurta without a jumper and jacket over it – in sometime hopefully. I have also been eyeing these summer dresses. And everything else that is summery.

I really love the jumper and lace top combo, it’s really opposites attract if you get what I mean. It’s a shame that in England we have to cover up with coats and jackets all the time. I don’t have that problem at the moment, but when I go back for a month I’m gonna have to get used to wearing shoes and socks and not flip flops anymore. Bring on the 2 weeks of Summer 🙂

I know what you mean! Lace is pretty intensely feminine so a jumper helps balance it out! I love your comment on 2 weeks of summer! Actually even 2 weeks would be great right now after last summer.

Aha, well 2 weeks is sometimes an overstatement I’ll say 😉 I’m going from Winter in Australia when it gets to 25 degrees still, to Summer in England where it’ll barely be 15 I reckon! Shock to the system.
