Not sure if you have noticed it but pant suits are everywhere. And I really do mean pant suits (or trousers suits to avoid confusion in the UK). The high street stores are stocked with trouser suits in every colour imaginable – and in every print.

I don’t know when this happened but I was doing my usual online browsing and Zara is full of suits in some crazy colours and prints. Now these looks really lovely but these are not suits you can actually wear to work in a bank. Or a law firm. Or any office where you actually wear suits to work. I know its very confusing but let me explain. These are fashion suits – you are not actually meant to go to work in them (although I did think this green one could stretch to being somewhat wearable? Just don’t wear it around Christmas time).

- They are in crazy colours.
These are not colours most people wear to work. I assure you even the craziest colleague at work will not turn up in fuchsia trousers and a double-breasted fuchsia jacket. Although this outfit does make me wish someone would!

This pink one or this blush one (trousers here) might be more suitable if pink is the way you want to go.
2. They are in crazy prints.
I think this is the effect of the summer floral (or animal print) mixed with this suit trend. I love it but could anyone wear this to work? I definitely cannot imagine wearing this to my work place. Where I can imagine this is at Friday night drinks!

A polka dotted suit is slightly more interesting than the normal boring black but not completely covered with crazy prints and could work for office.
3. They are quirky styles.
I really loved this pink gilet suit jacket (similiar in white) – its so chic! I have been really debating getting a black one which might be easier for me to actually wear. You will also find loads of pant suits with exaggerated sleeves or with cold shoulder jackets. Whether I like it or not I appreciate the effort and ideas!

All of the suits and trousers I liked are linked below. What do you think of this trend? Would you actually wear a suit outside of work? This trend did give me some kind of inspiration – I need to get out my boring grey lawyer suit and get it to work a bit. Lets see what I can come up with that!

I have to agree on that, I think pushing the boundaries is ok. But wearing a bright yellow pant suit in a business meeting? You would blind everyone out of the room hahah.some of them are cute though
Haha! Yeah, I don’t have the guts to wear it for sure. Especially when everyone around me is in black and white. I think a good compromise would be a colourful blazer with black trousers. That could work!
Love the florals! Would wear all of these to work. Then again, depends on what kind of office you’re working in, right?
Oh that’s brave of you! But honestly if it works for your work (haha!) why not? I would too!
Any tips on how to carry this off of one is short?
The only tip I have is make sure the suit fits you perfectly! As long as it fits – sleeves, waist of the blazer, trouser hem etc. it will look great. Have a look at this post where I am wearing a boring grey suit and I am less than 5 feet tall! http://fashionandfrappes.com/how-to-build-your-formal-work-wardrobe-new-indian-express/
I love the trendy pant suit style and have been looking for some bright colours myself! 🙂 This is an amazing post! Love all the styles!
Thank you – did you get one for yourself yet?
Loving all the fabulous colors! Specially that first yellow one! <3
You know I am so tempted so just get it! I have no idea where I will wear it though. But its so happy and cheery.
All suits and their prints are nice . and sorry but the one in the yellow wins.
You know I have never been a fan of yellow but it does look absolutely lovely!
Considering where I work I’d definitely try the fuchsia suit 😀 I haven’t seen this come up here though. Maybe I’ll give it a try!
Lucky you! You would really look great in something like this! I am sure it will make its way soon.
I was actually thinking of trying pantsuits soon!
I do love the idea of pant suits – its easy and still so interesting and definitely more interesting than a dress sometimes!
I actually wouldn’t mind wearing these to work, I love standing out in the crowd. ☺️
I am definitely jealous of you if you can get away with wearing that for work!
Maybe they can be broken into separates and worn to work. Like the floral jacket with a black skirt or something.
Yeah – thats definitely the only way!
