I started reading fashion blogs a long time ago and I remember a time when blogs were just slightly blurry outfit pictures with bloggers explaining their outfit choices. Bloggers talked about what they wore, where they got it from and how they put it together. This ‘how they put it together’ is always what intrigues me the most about an interesting outfit. I decided to write down how this very simple outfit I wore for brunch on a Sunday came together.

“So its brunch but I am sure we are going to be sitting around the table almost the whole day. Sounds good. Wondering if I should get a pizza or is this place better know for the pasta? Hope they have some good wine – really feel like drinking some wine. Actually I am pretty sure most of it will be great.

So what do I wear? I want to wear something really comfy. Is it sunny (checking phone for temperature, drew the curtains to look out)? Its quite sunny but this sun is completely fake. I am definitely going to carry my jacket. Oh, yay! I can finally wear this polka dotted shirt! I almost forgot I got this.
Ok, I should go and have a bath – I’ll figure out the rest later.

(Had a shower, wearing shirt, looking at the mirror). This is too big for me. Why do they always make sleeves so long! Argh. But its really not long enough to actually get it altered. Ok whatever, I am past caring now. And annoyed. Lets just get my black jeans on and go. I am so hungry.
This is so boring. This is totally not the look I was going for. Also its actually a little cold so wearing distressed jeans is not a great plan. Should I just wear my black leggings?

(Looking though my closet).
Actually why not? Just because I wear these trousers to work doesn’t mean I cant wear them on a Sunday. (Pulled them on).

And I need something more. Should I wear the bib necklace? No, I am so bored of it. Actually can I find something to make a bow out of? My shirt has polka dots so I feel I need a bow. (Looking for something to make a bow out of. Found crumpled black belt from this shirt.) I don’t care, this will have to do. Wish it wasn’t a boring black though.
(Pulls bow together).

Outfit details: Polka dot shirt from H&M, slippers from Primark, black faux leather jacket from Forever 21, black trousers from Other Stories, shades from Rayban and quilted cross body bag from Chanel.
Yeah, this looks nice and is so comfy. Lets get brunch!”
