The Fancy Sweatshirt

4 November 2023 · Leave a Comment

I know it sounds like a oxymoron. A sweatshirt by definition cannot be fancy. Hard disagree from me. I don’t know why we assume if clothing is comfortable it cannot also be fancy.

But you have to be careful. You have your lounging sweatshirts. You have your sleeping sweatshirts. And you have the going out sweatshirts. The lounging ones and the sleeping ones can overlap but the ‘going out’ sweatshirt can never overlap with the other two.

For the longest time, I didn’t have a fancy sweatshirt. Then I bought one from Aritzia earlier this year when I was in Nashville. And promptly lost it in a day while travelling. I decided not to feel too bad about it since it was a bright white sweatshirt and a disaster waiting to happen.

I decided this Sezane sweatshirt was the perfect compromise. Not fully white but white enough. I have already thought of so many outfits with this sweatshirt – all finishing with red lipstick. Don’t worry you will be seeing these on the blog since I plan to live in this sweatshirt for sometime. I picked out some other fancy sweatshirts I liked for more comfy, stylish outfits. I also realised there has been a lot of Sezane on the blog lately!
