Midi Skirts Forever #OOTD

14 July 2016 · 11 Comments

I have a sudden fascination for midi skirts. And also realised, oddly, they are great for summer! A light, flowy midi skirt is perfect. Sticking with my only style rule I paired this very feminine, summery, colourful skirt with a stiff formal white shirt. I think it looks pretty cool together, agreed?

Ok, relax. You don’t have to agree!

I don’t know if this was a conscious effort or just something I sub-consciously did – I avoided wearing midi skirts for the longest time. You know those lists that tell you avoid wearing a particular item of clothing if you are a short woman? Unfortunately, I may have read quite a few of them. And most of these lists included midi skirts. So I basically decided to stay away from midi skirts. Which I really regret since they are awesome!

Outfit details: white half sleeve upturned shirt from Zara, pleated midi skirt from Mango, blue leather cross-body bag from ASOS worn (similar), white sneakers from Stradivarius and round rimmed grey sunglasses from Tiger.

I was going through some older posts and realised this skirt is pretty much the same colour as this one and these trousers which I love! So obviously there is a pattern here – everyone seems to love this blue.

I already can’t wait to wear this skirt again and decided I will be wearing it with a white sweatshirt next time around. I am currently a little obsessed with the easy sweatshirt and midi skirt look.

Whats the verdict on midi skirts, guys? I am now the proud owner of three pleated midi skirts (two of which are blue – yeah, my planning is not very efficient). You may have seen this bling one before – I am trying to figure out how to wear it casually! Any ideas?
