5 Ascot Dresses Under £50 – Dress Code Approved!

If you know anything about the Ascot races you will know Ascot dresses and fashion is a pretty big part of it. I will be the first to admit that Ascot fashion isn’t really my kind of fashion – Ascot dresses are usually very prim and proper with an insanely tedious intense dress code. I have been thinking about what to wear and getting a little stressed. I can assure you that only 0.1% of my clothes and 0% of the dresses are Ascot appropriate. Of course, I don’t want to buy a new Ascot dress especially since I will probably not wear it in my real life. While online shopping researching I came across some perfect dresses which I have picked for this post – they are all Ascot dress code approved, they are not too expensive (most under £50) for a one-time wear but they are also dresses that you can wear for many other occasions.

Ascot Dresses under £50

A. Mango Embroidered Cotton Dress £49.99 (similar) – this is like the cutest non-ruffle summer dress. Immensely wearable for Ascot and beyond.

S. Zara Guipure Lace Dress £49.99 (loved this formal dress in such a fun colour) – in case you didn’t notice, this summer’s colour is bright yellow. Its really strange but even I have been tempted!

C. Quiz Cream Flower Print Midi Dress £26.99 (I like the contrast between the fit and the pattern) – I am super happy about finding this dress. I love the not in your face floral and the perfect-for-Ascot fit. However, what I am most happy about is the fact that it is perfect for Ascot (with pink accessories), perfect for a summer wedding (with yellow shoes?) and perfect for work (just picture it with a navy blazer thrown over). I love pieces like this!

O. Topshop Pleated Cold Shoulder Dress £38 (loved this abstract chic dress) – I am picturing this with a bright red hat and red lipstick for the Ascot and a black blazer for Monday morning.

T. Dorothy Perkins Slash Neck Dress £18 (I loved this red dress which fits great for work too) interesting how its so similar to this one. And sometimes prim and proper needs a little bit of punch.

There is a lot more of Ascot coming up on the blog – I am going for the races this week (can’t wait!) and will be reporting back. I am still not sure what I will be wearing – waiting for something to magically jump out of my closet.

If you are looking for summer dresses, some fun new swimwear, summer trousers or are generally tired of the pressure of summer and just want to wear black – we have it all here. Please follow or like our Facebook page or Instagram if you want to see more pictures and you can subscribe to out blog on the main page of the blog.

Thanks for reading! If you have been to Ascot already I would love to hear about your experience or if you are going this week please let me know what you plan to wear? I would love to have some ideas!

So annoyed because most of the hats are so expensive! I keep thinking how I will never wear that hat again! Ya – will definitely go check out that dress even if I don’t end up wearing it to the Ascot!
