I really don’t know what got into me but I decided to go to London to see Anisha, in January. It was chilly to say the least. The day I arrived it was snowing. Some of you must be going wow, but that is never my reaction to the cold. The only thing cold I like is my beer and the ice in my cold coffee.

Anisha had booked a table at The Berkeley for afternoon tea way in advance and I was most excited.

I love tea and I love cake! Everything about it was beautiful. The ambiance, the flowers, the decor, the pastries and my favourite were the tea cup and tea pot.

The themes and colours of the spread is inspired by the fashion world and changes every six months.

We got seated right away and got a choice of variety of tea to begin with. I chose the mint tea while Anisha chose Oolong.

A duck egg sandwich which came right after was my favourite and I had three of them to be very honest.

I think its also a perfect time to mention that they are quite tiny and perfectly sized.

My other favourite was the cucumber and cream cheese one while Anisha ate a salmon sandwich which by the looks of her she seemed to enjoy.

Sadly me and her both left the cold smoked beef mini burger which I did not find too special.

Anisha kept warning me to save all my main appetite for the pastries which really were a treat!

Look at them they look beautiful.

Chocolate being my all time favourite was devoured first and in quick succession, the rest.

Anisha was quite upset eating up the shoe cookies since they looked so pretty I suspect it’s also because of her obsession with actual shoes.

We sat, ate, drank tea and chatted for hours. It was great catching up and having quality sister time! Last but not the least we ended the afternoon with a cup of coffee! Have a look!

Its a super fun experience – I would definitely recommend this one!
Quality sister time is the best and now adding cupcakes in the mix, sounds perfect!!
I’ll be honest Krupa – it was more quality cake time than sister time for us. I am pretty sure we stopped talking once the food came!
The cakes and cookies are so cute! I would probably stare at them for an hour before eating 😀
Haha – I think Bidisha and I did do that for quite sometime! They are so well made.
I love this afternoon tea when I went! It was fab, one of the best.
