Chanel Quilting and Black Leather Jackets

I realised I haven’t done one of those posts for a long time – the one where you explain the outfit in detail. Similar to this one I did a few years ago. These posts give me a very vintage outfit blog vibes. I remember a time blogs actually detailed the outfit the blogger wore in real life giving details on how it was put together. I have always been a fan of these posts. They are so real. And personally for me, fashion blogging has never been about new clothes but the old clothes styled in different ways so let me explain.

The Hardware

Surprisingly, I have really been into gold lately since I ended up wearing a lot of cream or beige. But I really wanted to do the silver and black look this time. The weather wasn’t the most summery and it felt perfect for fall. And also wanted to take out my poor Chanel which has been ignored for more than a year or so for an outing.

The Jeans

I honestly won’t blame you if you don’t want to hear about these jeans every again especially after this post. You guys remember I have worn black jeans with a leather jacket before so wanted to switch it up for this outfit.

The Leather Jacket

When I came to London I got a cheap faux leather jacket from Forever 21. Make no mistake, I loved the look of it – you can see I wore it in the post with my black jeans and the polka dot shirt. Of course it disintegrated over time which is what happens to faux leather. I finally got myself a real leather jacket from one of my favourite brands, Sandro Paris. This jacket was love at first sight. It was exactly what I wanted – cropped, quilted with silver hardware. I have worn it non-stop ever since I got it and know I will be wearing it for years to come.

The Layers

The photos aren’t the best to show off the layers but I wore a black camisole and a transparent black top with tiny white hearts all over it. I had found the top in a thrift store in Mumbai years ago and honestly, its not really suitable for London weather but chanced it with my jacket. You can see some parts of the whispy top and I really liked the look.

The Jewellery

I really piled on the jewellery. I have a set of bracelets and earrings I wear when wearing gold and have these hoop earrings in silver which I put on. I felt the outfit still needed something interesting so decided to pile on this huge silver necklace I bought in Egypt.

The Shoes

Honestly, the shoes were not a choice but just ‘what else?’. I was walking to Soho so wanted to wear my comfortable but ‘fanciest’ sneakers so this was the only option.
